Job Announcement: Storybank Specialist

The Alliance for a Healthy Kansas is hiring a Storybank Specialist. The Storybank Specialist is responsible for collecting, developing, and sharing health care-related personal stories of Kansans. This position works in close collaboration with other Alliance team members to gather and share stories illustrating the difficulties facing low-income Kansans as they seek health care. In addition to story gathering and sharing, the position also serves as a member of the Alliance community organizing team with responsibility for creating and maintaining relationships with Kansans in communities across the state.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Services, Communications, Journalism, Political Science, or related field is required.
• Skilled in creative thinking and problem solving.
• Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to adopt the style, tone, and voice accordingly when documenting people’s stories.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with many different stakeholders and constituencies.
• Some travel required with occasional overnight stays necessary.

This is a full-time position eligible for a benefits package. The position is fully remote, with some travel required within the state of Kansas.
